Mr. Nicolas Kashama Defensive Coordinator &
Mr. Nicolas Kashama also known as “Coach Nick” graduated from the University of Connecticut in the spring of 2004, where he started, for four consecutive seasons as a Defensive End, the Huskies from 2000 to 2004. Nicolas Kashama also lettered for three of the four years while at Uconn. After graduating, Nicolas Kashama was signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent, in 2004. Following the NFL, from 2004 to 2007, Nicolas Kashama played for various teams in the Canadian Football League, CFL; the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and Calgary Stampeders.
During Nicolas Kashama’s playing years, he gained valuable skills and knowledge about the game of football, which led him to coaching. Coach Nick began his coaching career in 2007 at Avondale High School, in DeKalb County School System, where he helped lead the school to its first playoff birth in over 20 years. He was also Defensive Line Coach for the DeKalb County All Star Team-West in 2009. In addition to coaching the defensive end position players at Avondale High School, Coach Nick became the Defensive Coordinator for the Georgia Jets, a semi-professional team, where he led the team to its first Southern Football League (SFL) Division and SFL Championship. He was named the Southern Football League Defensive Coach of The Year in 2010. Coach Nick's accomplishments led him to become the Defensive Coordinator at Martin Luther King Jr. High School during the 2010-2011 season.
Once again, Coach Nick developed a highly successful defensive game plan; which helped lead the team to two (2) straight Region 2-AAAAA Championships and a #22 peak ranking on ESPN’s PowerAde Fab 50 National High School Ranking. Coach Nicolas Kashama led the DeKalb County top defenses in: First in solo tackles (569), First in INTs (21), First in fumble cause (22), First in fumble recovery (19), and Second in quarterback sacks (50.5). His accomplishments did not stop there. Coach Nic finished the 2011-2012 season with the #1 Defense in DeKalb County School System with a record of 11-1 and a third straight region 2-AAAAA Championship. Furthermore, as the Recruiting Coordinator, he assisted in awarding the highest Division I & II Football Scholarships in the history of Martin Luther King, Jr. High School, with 24 athletic/academic scholarships.
Coach Nicolas Kashama along with his three brothers are the founder of the summer youth camp, ALLKASH Football Academy, which offers student-athletes from the ages of 7 to 18 knowledge and skills to compete in high school football. His ALLKASH Football Academy Camp has led many Canadians to receive full scholarships at Division I and II Colleges and Universities. Coach Nick is also a proud father of three and a husband. Coach Nicolas Kashama enjoys working with youths and learning from them as well. Recently, he earned his Masters of Arts Degree in Secondary Education. Mr. Nicolas Kashama is a mentor, coach, trainer, and teacher.
